Latest Program Download

Registration is FREE.

You must register to:

  1. download the latest SOB update
  2. unlock any version of SOB
  3. get easy and discounted access to C-MAP charts
  4. receive free online support
  5. enable advanced features contained within SOB
  6. increase the initial 30 day trial period to 90 days

How do I register?

Once you are registered, these important things will happen: 

  1. You will receive a link, via email, to the SOB program for immediate downloading.
  2. You should contact your local Jeppesen (C-MAP) office who will post you the CDs containing charts for your chosen region. You can then select any charts for purchasing easily using a supplied program and receive a "Chart License Code" online or over the phone at any time and place.
  3. When you first run SoftwareOnBoard, you will be asked for a "User Name", we suggest you enter the same name as you use on the registration form, or your SOB User License Password (for licensed users) to help you remember it. As a registered user, you may return to this site at any time and receive free on-line support and up to 3  "SOB Unlock Codes" so that you can run your copy of SOB on multiple computers.

Version GRIB is an exciting upgrade with many improvements, fixes, enhancements and new features.

GRIB weather data can be overlayed on the SOB/C-Map chart for extra information to assist in your planning and transits.

Sep 2008 - v8.5+

For the racing yachtsman, the Aug08 release of v8.5 includes a revolutionary new feature called "Race Start" which is designed to assist you with achieving a perfect start. With SOB running, press "S" to show the RaceStart Window. Also, Wind Polars are now included. SOB will make these automatically from your PastTrack or import Maxsea format polar files, or manually create your own custom polar data and import to SOB.

And by popular request, also in this release is reading and writing of Wpt XML files (known as GPX format files).
