In light of these changes, SOB pricing has been re-structured to more accurately reflect the cost of developing and supporting the software and our user base.

For several years now, SOB has been offered at a ridiculously low cost to aid in building market awareness and wide distribution. This strategy has been highly successful with well over half-a-million downloads of SOB from more than 150 countries. The positive feedback has been overwhelming.

DigiBOAT International Ltd has conducted thorough research into Navigation Software in the global market and created the optimum price for the continued success of both DigiBOAT and SOB. Our policy continues to be to offer high-quality, powerful, yet easy to use software, at a low cost. The new SOB price is substantially lower than our competitors in the market. Apart from the Networking and a few advanced/commercial features found in our Pro Version, the Standard Version is FULL FEATURED - there is no additional cost "per module" to gain access to various features (as is the model used by our competitors).

During the transition period as we switch over to the new Webshop and the new SOB price, for a limited time we will offer a discount for our existing users - whether Licensed or Trial users, to purchase or upgrade their SOB User License.

A SOB User License allows free upgrades to new SOB releases for a period of 12 months from the time of purchasing the License. Thereafter, users can either upgrade their License (at reduced cost) each year, or retain their last downloaded SOB version prior to the 12 months limit and keep that version licensed to their computer(s) - for Life!

A (non-commercial) SOB User License will still be valid for use on up to three different computers.

A further change which may affect some SOB users is a new Support Policy. Free priority email support will be offered to all Licensed Users for the term of their license. Trial users receive free email support for 30 days from the date of installation.
LITE version users (unlicensed users beyond the Trial period) have access to a large variety of self-help information available from our website and documentation included in the SOB installation. Please refer to the new Support Webpage for information.
